It is also the homeland of the most revered 21st Century icon, Nelson Mandela, our modern day āFather of Forgivenessā.
This magniļ¬cent land bears the scars and shame of a deep dark secret. A land where a government assumed the role of God and declared judgment on its people. Where if you were White you had privileges, and were considered 'betterā and above your darker skinned counterparts. Black, ColoredĀ and the Indian people were considered lesser human beings. Where the Apartheid law said, āYou may not cross the color line and fall in love, or marry, or live together or in the same areas, or use the same public amenities ā you will be jailed if you cross the color lineā.
